WHAT WOULD BE SPECIAL ?
On this Republic day this is the first time in the Indian history since 1950 the French contingent will participate in the Republic day parade of India together with INDIAN ARMED FORCES .
After many years (26 years later ) Indian army dogs are now back to participate in the republic day parade 2016 at the Raj path . Around 36 INDIAN ARMY dogs including 24 labradors  and 12 German Shepherds will take part in parade . They are practising since last four months and three times a day for better performance .

This is the first time in Indian history after 66 years that there will be no BSF camel contingent participation in the Republic day parade 2016 . The timings of the parade has been reduced by at least 15 minutes by the government . There is plan to perform 90 minute parade in 2016 instead of 2 hours by cutting down some marching military contingent and number of tableaux.
