Earth Day Pledge: Promising to Protect Our Planet On the occasion of Earth Day, the students of Class II came together to take a heartfelt pledge to protect and care for our planet. With great enthusiasm, they promised to adopt eco-friendly habits such as planting more trees, conserving water, reducing waste, and keeping their surroundings clean. The pledge encouraged young learners to understand that even small actions can make a big difference in creating a greener and healthier world. It inspired them to become responsible citizens who value and respect nature. Building Compound Words with Flashcards The students of Class I enjoyed an engaging Compound Words Matching activity using colourful flashcards. They matched two simple words to form compound words such as sun + flower = sunflower and rain + bow = rainbow, making learning both interactive and fun. The hands-on activity helped students recognise word patterns, strengthen their vocabulary, and understand how new words are formed by combining two smaller words. It also encouraged observation, critical thinking, and active participation as they worked individually and with their peers. Through this joyful learning experience, our young learners developed greater confidence in reading and word building while discovering the fascinating world of compound words.
