Repeated Addition "Ice Tray Activity"- Multiplication

To introduce the concept of Multiplication as Repeated Addition the activity of Ice tray with Macroni was done in the class.  

  Students were divided in groups . Each group was provided with an ice tray and uncooked macaronis.A problem was given to each group, such as 3 x 4. Then, the students were asked to display the problem using diff erent compartments of the ice tray to hold each group of macaronis.
