Tooth pick activity for place value
Activity
The students were shown a packet of toothpicks.
One toothpick= 1 ones
10 ones = 1 tens
Take 10 toothpicks and tie them using an elastic band or rubber band.
Further put 10 bundles of tens together and ask students. How many sticks are there in the bundle.
10 tens = 1 hundred
The students were given some toothpicks and they were asked to tell the number shown.
