Reading is one of the most fundamental skills a child needs to learn to succeed in life. ... Reading increases attention span: Encouraging good reading habits from an early age develops the child's attention span and allows them to focus better and for longer periods of time. A 'Loud reading competition was organised in Class 2 A Primus to encourage the students to read more. The reading skills of the students were judged on the basis of Reading speed, Fluency, Intonation and Retention.
