declared - World Space Week, the largest Annual Space event celebrated worldwide with 1,400

events in more than 80 countries. It is an exciting international celebrations organized by the

United Nations General Assembly .

The theme declared for 2017 is ‘Exploring New Worlds in the Space’, Our school

celebrated astronomy events highlighting the theme by incorporating innovative ideas which can be useful for nation andthe world for future perspectives. Famous Space Themed Person or Object Talk:The students were Dressed up as their favorite famous space themed person or

object (ex Sally Ride or Philae) and gave a short talk about who they were in School Assembly.

As we are aware, the United Nations has announced October 15, birth anniversary of former

President and the Missile Man of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam as World Students’ Day in 2010 in
a salute to him. To acknowledge the occasion this year, SPACE will organize a special WSW
activity “Satellite Model Making from Trash”. The Students of class 2 A Primus prepared a Satellite from Trash. It was a Group Activity. The students were excited to create their own Satellite.
