Class 2 Haiku

Haiku Recitation – Finding the Rhythm of Words Students enthusiastically participated in a Haiku Recitation Activity, where they explored the beauty of this traditional Japanese form of poetry. They recited their carefully crafted Haikus while identifying and following the unique 5–7–5 syllable pattern—five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third. The activity encouraged students to listen carefully to the rhythm of words, count syllables and express their ideas creatively through simple yet meaningful verses. It helped enhance their speaking skills, pronunciation, rhythm, vocabulary, creativity and confidence. Through this delightful poetic experience, students discovered that a few carefully chosen words can paint a beautiful picture and express a world of ideas! 🌿✨
